What are Valves?
Valves are mechanical devices that control the flow and pressure within a system or process. They regulate, direct or control the flow of fluids, gases, liquids or slurries by opening, closing or partially obstructing various passageways. Valves are integral components in a variety of industries, including water management, oil and gas, mining and food processing, ensuring efficient and safe operation of equipment and processes.
Which Valve
is Right for You?

PRV Valves
There are two types of water pressure reducing valves (PRV Valves), direct acting and pilot operated; both of which use globe or angle style bodies, with new developments available in an Axial flow configuration. Valves used on smaller piping diameter units are normally cast from brass, while larger piping diameter units are made from ductile iron or steel.
Use Cases
Steam Systems: Used to regulate steam flow in heating systems.
Cooling Systems: Ideal for controlling flow in cooling applications.
Chemical Injection: Provides precise control for dosing chemicals into a process.

RSV Gate Valves
RSV Gate Valves are double flanged resilient seal type valves with a non-rising spindle. The valve body is designed to have a straight, unobstructed flow passage and inclined seats to eliminate deposits from forming inside the valve body. They are well-suited for applications where a full, unobstructed flow is required.
Use Cases
Oil & Gas: Used for pipeline flow control.
Mining: Effective in managing slurry flow in mining operations.
Water Systems: Ideal for isolating flow in residential and municipal water systems.

Butterfly Valves
RSV Gate Valves are double flanged resilient seal type valves with a non-rising spindle. The valve body is designed to have a straight, unobstructed flow passage and inclined seats to eliminate deposits from forming inside the valve body. They are well-suited for applications where a full, unobstructed flow is required.
Use Cases
Water Treatment: Used to control water flow in treatment facilities.
HVAC Systems: Perfect for regulating airflow in heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.
Food & Beverage: Suitable for controlling non-viscous liquids in food processing.

Ball Valves
A ball valve is a flow control device which uses a hollow, perforated, and pivoting ball to control fluid flowing through it. It is open when the hole through the middle of the ball is in line with the flow inlet, and closed when it is pivoted 90 degrees by the valve handle, blocking the flow. They provide reliable sealing and are ideal for applications where a quick shut-off is required.
Use Cases
Residential Plumbing: Used in household water lines for easy shut-off.
Industrial Piping: Commonly used for high-pressure systems due to their robust design.
Chemical Processing: Suitable for aggressive chemicals due to their strong sealing capability.

Knife Gate Valves
Knife Gate Valves are designed specifically for use in systems handling viscous fluids, slurries and other materials that might clog standard valves. The knife-like gate can cut through thick media, making these valves ideal for applications that require reliable shut-off and flow regulation in challenging conditions.
Use Cases
Mining: Ideal for handling thick, abrasive slurries.
Water Treatment: Used to control water flow in treatment facilities.
Wastewater Treatment: Suitable for managing sludge and heavy, solid-laden fluids.

Wedge Gate Valves
Wedge Gate Valves are designed for reliable shut-off in systems where a tight seal is required. They feature a wedge-shaped gate that fits securely into matching seats, allowing for flow in both directions and sealing on both sides, making them ideal for handling high-pressure flow and ensuring minimal leakage. Wedge Gate Valves are commonly used in applications where low maintenance and a durable solution are key.
Use Cases
Power Plants: Effective in controlling steam and high-temperature fluids.
Oil & Gas Pipelines: Suitable for handling high-pressure flow in pipeline operations.
Water Distribution: Reliable shut-off in municipal water distribution systems.

Check Valves, Strainers & Foot Valves
Check Valves, Strainers and Foot Valves are crucial components used to maintain efficient system performance and protect equipment. Check valves prevent backflow, strainers filter out debris and foot valves ensure a consistent flow from suction lines, keeping the system clean and operational.
Use Cases
Industrial Piping: Strainers protect valves and pumps by filtering out debris.
Irrigation Systems: Foot valves ensure consistent suction in irrigation pumps.
Water Systems: Check valves prevent backflow, protecting the water supply.
